Try These!

So I just got to try three products today for the first time: Veganasie, Stretch Island Fruit, and Vegan Gourmet Cheese Alternative.  I have to give Veganasie 5 of 5 stars,  I hate miracle whip with a passion you have no idea, but I loved Veganasie oh I want to have another sandwich already, next Stretch Island Fruit, good tasting snack but not filling and too expensive, lastly, the Vegan Gourmet Cheese, I know it said Monterey Jack, but it tasted just like fresh Ricotta.  I would love to use it in a lasagna.   Until next time Aloha!

$250.....

Vietnam - Thanh

"Sut" means split lip and is a terrible name for a child. But for the first nine years of my life, that's what I was called by everyone in the village. Every day, the cleft lip I was born with caused me pain and humiliation. On my first day of school, the other children taunted me so mercilessly because of my disfigured mouth that I refused to go back. It seemed that my whole life would be ruined by this curse.

Then, Operation Smile came along. During the mission to Vung Tau, Vietnam, I received a new smile, new friends, and reclaimed my birth name, Thanh, which means, "Blue Sky." Now, the sky's the limit for me. I have returned to school and to life, and the future is filled with sunshine.

Did you know that for $250 dollars you can make this happen for a child, yes thats it $250, think what the last thing you spent that much money on.  I know what I did but I won't let it go to waste this time.  Please join me and help these children. They need your help.

Another day in Paradise

So I finally found a hot pair of shoes, and they are a good price at twenty dollars, wow.  the website is www.kaboodle.com  so the next time I go shoe shopping oh ya this will be my first stop.

I am still living it up in Hawaii.  Trying to find a job, but I have a few leads, on the retail side of things, but have a great lead on the dancing side of the house, out here I'll probably need two jobs anyway.

Aloha!

Well I've finally made it back to Hawaii.  Things are going well here.  Sun is shinning and the sun is burning.  My trip was smooth and my transition easy.  I couldn't have done it without all of my friends.  They were there in Kansas, Rose and Cheryl gave up almost two full days to drive me around and help me move things at the last minute.  Jeffro has let me store a few things in his shop until they can be sold.  And Twitty, oh he had everything ready for me and has been an absolute delight.
The beauty of Hawaii never ceases to amaze me, and I am so happy to be here, the air itself seems to bring life into you and refreshes you.  I've seen the beach every day I've been here so far.  I even started jogging again.  I have done more jogging in Hawaii then the rest of my life combined, just something about this place.  Well I have to get back to... oh yes nothing.... !!!!!   (I love a good break)Until next time!

Visit from the Family

Today was a good day, cause I got to see my family for the first time in over a year. Everyone looked so much older, my dad with a beard!, my mom with a perm! My sister had long hair, hips, no glasses, damn she looked like me. My little brothers where very energetic and remind me of Jacob when he was that age. Oh, Jacob is still the same (wait a few more gray hairs!)
We drove around post for a minute and then went back to my place to have some lunch. We all had pizza,
We took some pictures and then they had to get on the road, I wish we had more time together, it just goes by so fast, but I'll see them soon.

Let's Have a Sexy Party!

Alicia Silverstone and Joaquin Phoenix Have My Vote for the Sexiest Vegetarians

Peta has done it again, wow another battle of the sexy! I would love to have a party with Miss Silverstone and Mr. Phoenix, or just"Joaquin" oooohhh, just saying it sends shivers down my spine, but there is a lot more then just this on Peta, chat, meet friends, learn, and change the world. Who knows maybe next year I'll be on the list. I am a proud member of Peta, shouldn't you be too?

On a lighter note. The Pass few days have been busy packing and getting ready to move and what not. I've been working on some hemp necklaces in my spare time though, and I have a few to show off. The first is a spiral knot with mock shell beads, the second a flat knot with a little windmill (it works too), and last a spiral knot with glow-in-the-dark blue beads and a Capricorn charm. I like looking at what other people are doing fashion wise, but I like to make my own things the best. Hopeful college will help me do more of that. I am leaving in nine days for Hawaii and I couldn't be more excited. I know I said I planned to go to school for fashion design, but now I know I am and will be attending University of Hawaii at Manoa. So come and say HI to me if you're in Hawaii. I am a little nervous though, I will be working new materials and machines, and what if I'm the worst designer in the class or am bad at clothing construction? I'm sure my mom would tell me not to worry that the reason I am going to college is to learn, so I shouldn't already know everything or I'd be wasting my money.

Thermal Hair Straightening

Good news! I got my "old phone" style back and can get back on the internet! Today I got the princess treatment when I went to JaNique's Salon and Spa in Junction City, Kansas. I got the straightening treatment done to my and hair and let me say it was great. It was smoother with a blow dry alone than I could get it with a flat iron before and it is so light and manageable. I wish I had done it a lot sooner. I went all out for this one with all the hair products and a new, much smaller, flat iron. Now mind you this should last at minimum 6 months and at max 8 months to a year with good care. Lets keep a look out on this hair!

Use of new PDA

Well my internet connection was severed when my phone refused to charge. Now I must type all my entries on a palm pilot. So they might be short. I am going to try to have some video on here from time to time as well. In new fashion news. I just aquired a new pair of hand-beaded owl earings. Very nice and a steal at 4.99.

"I think I'm turning Japanese."

Fashion week in Tokyo, I'd love to go if even for the Japanese culture itself. Though I have never worn a kimono myself, my grand father brought one back for my grandmother after his tour in Japan, so I have always been a fan. As the Japanese embrace more and more western culture, it becomes more important for them to maintain their cultural identity. Its is wonderful to see kimonos in a new light, not just traditional garment, but chic evening wear and even denim kimonos. And who do we have to thank for this? Jotaro Saito who hail from the old capital of Japan, Kyoto. He also has done work with furniture and interior design, not a surprise given the stiff nature of Kimono and the thickness of the material.
