"I think I'm turning Japanese."

Fashion week in Tokyo, I'd love to go if even for the Japanese culture itself. Though I have never worn a kimono myself, my grand father brought one back for my grandmother after his tour in Japan, so I have always been a fan. As the Japanese embrace more and more western culture, it becomes more important for them to maintain their cultural identity. Its is wonderful to see kimonos in a new light, not just traditional garment, but chic evening wear and even denim kimonos. And who do we have to thank for this? Jotaro Saito who hail from the old capital of Japan, Kyoto. He also has done work with furniture and interior design, not a surprise given the stiff nature of Kimono and the thickness of the material.

Hello, my name is Thomasina and I have started The Glass Tower as a haven.  think of it as a garden where ideas and philosophy dance about like little fairies.  Not to say there are no fairies here. I plan to write about anything and everything that interests me, I hope you stay awhile in the shade of the Willow with me and dream of the possibilities of nature.
